*glimpse* of my *Valentine's Weekend*

Yes, we snowboarded...again.
for *nine* straight hours
*haa haa*
***
toward the end,
before extreme exhaustion set in,
I was starting to get it.
***
...and then I fell...and fell some more.
***
We did enjoy our time together, though.
We sipped on hot chocolate,
lounged on the ski lift,
snapped a photo on top of Blue Mountain, PA.
***
Afterward, we went to King of Prussia Mall in PA.
I saw the most gorgeous display of Gelato.
It was in the middle of the mall,
underneath a skylight,
all cafe tables and chairs set up in between shops.
***
Then, in a store called BeyondTheWall
we found this book called Fart Proudly.
Since my boyfriend does - on the regular - fart proudly,
I thought a pic with him proudly holding it to
his chest would be appropriate.
*Tee hee*
***
After our King of Prussia Mall experience,
we headed to Philadelphia, PA
on the hunt for a really awesome *cheesesteak*.
While on our travels through Philly, we saw this entrance way
to a store all graffiti-ed up:
***
Then, upon looking for where Adam Richman from
had his *cheesesteak* challenge in Philly,
we found and ate at Jim's Steaks.
***
The place was jumpin' jumpin'.
***
I spotted some *old school diner* decor.
Loved it!
***
Our two love-puppies!!
Tomas's was on the left: the Whiz Cheesesteak,
mine was on the right: Cheesesteak with American cheese,
both with onions!
***
If this doesn't spell L-O-V-E then I don't know what does!
***
My version of Valentine's Day LOVE...with a ginger ale.
***
Oh, and by the way, readers,
I found Tomas a *bonsai*!!
Aannndd it was not just any *bonsai*.
It was the last *bonsai tree* the place had that wasn't
$100 or over. It was so secret
and special and hidden, that the gardener-man
had to go to the back and get it for me.
It was the perfect little *bonsai*.
Exactly what I was looking for.
I wrapped it, attached my poem "i got my eye on a *bonsai*",
and set the card leaning on it.
***
It had the cutest little fishing man in it,
just how I wanted,
since Tomas loves to fish.
I told him it would bring him good luck when he fishes.
***
I love this cute little old man,
in his element under the *bonsai*.
And here's where it ended up,
just as my poem read:

"...sittin' on a
grey
dull
work
desk..."

I'm glad he liked it, though.
***
I hope you all had a good one.
Check back soon.
*We* love having you here.

Love,
*amanda*

last weekend of *Jan*/*2010* trip

here is a glimpse, reader,
of the past weekend:
the whole group
(3 snowboarders, 5 skiiers, and 2 wannabe skiiers
[they just put everybody in danger])
me & Tomas above - new to *snowboarding*

my *snowboot*
(could've been sexier, but it did me
good for a rental...did me good...)
my *smiley* friend, Jamina

i put two sticky faces on
Lev's boo-tay
i told Romain - in the yellow - "Smile!"

this is a pic of
Romain before he left one of his
knees on the mountain

he was way too excited
to *bust his ass*
told ya.

we now *heart* this sport

*thank you, god, for keeping our limbs attached to our body*

it really was a good time.

the boyf is already trying to book us a second trip. Gotta love 'im!

...aaannddd *i'm off*...

the boyf and i left today for our SKI-esque weekend
it's my first time on the
[...haa haa...]
"slopes"
and I *hope*a few things for myself:
i *hope* the sun is out the whole time
(even the most slight relief from the frigidness will be greatly appreciated)

i *hope* i stay on my two feet
a larger-percentage of the time
than i do on my tush
...or on my face...[deep sigh]...

i *hope* my friends & i have
many laughs and many triumphs
by sunday morning

[yikes!!]
i *hope* you will be praying for me

Have
a happy
weekend.

*snowBOOTS*

sooo...i am going
*skiing/snowboarding/snow-in-duh-face-ing*
this upcoming weekend
and
what am I most excited about??
being with friends?
no.
the surrounding frigid temperatures?
absolutely not.
my boyfriend's anticipated over-eagerness and nagging to go snowboarding every three seconds?
ummm...no.
give up?
It's the SNOWBOOTS!!!
Those GORGEOUS,
marshmellow moonBOOT-ish,

FLUFFY PUFFY SNOWBOOTS!!
(pics found at Snowboard Boot Site. text added through Picnik.)

I can't wait to put on my first pair ever!
I'm going parade around in
the
biggest
fattest
most plump
moon-shoe-ish
pair I can find!!
I want my feet to look like
*two meatballs on a stick*
*woot woot*
*yay*

*ski-trip* is coming up

(pic above found here.)

we're leaving Friday, coming back Sunday

it's going to be:

Tomas & I,

Jamina & Lev

Michelle & Dan

Steph & Cezar

Damian, and maybe Romain.

should be a good time**

Have any advice for me, reader?

i've never been skiing

there might be some snowboarding

but I'm sure there will be a ton of snow being jammed in my face,

upon the inevitable falling and rolling, of course.

**should be a good time even though there's been recent drama with one of the couples listed above. it's not for me to say here, but maybe worthy of another post one day. maybe not. i just hope the weekend doesn't end in catastrophe. [crossing my fingers]
